haha...your poor tortured son! I got my NARHA certification because I took a year after college to follow my dreams. I moved to the town where the center was and basiclly just followed my dreams for a year. Dreams don't pay bills though so once I got my cert I went back to school to get my masters. I still help out when they need me, but the closest therapeutic riding center is an hour away so I only go on special occasions. As for is the cert hard or not to get...I did it the harder way by volunteering 10 hours a week for practical and going to class, etc. You can just do a weekend certification, which since you are a horse person and have a soon with special needs, should not be that hard for you to pass with studying. I think your son might benefit more from hipotherapy at this point versus therapeutic riding.

Aww he's a cutie!!!
SO stinkin' cute, he is! I don't blame him, though!
I love it!
And look how good he is sitting!
(Sorry, I'm a silver-lining kind of person.) ;)
