I don't have enough mouths to feed....
This little guy is a baby Blue Jay, also known as the "Bully" of the birdfeeder. My father in law found him in the grass, no where near a tree so he scooped him up & brought him to me & said "Maybe you can do something with it?"
I found a wildlife rehab person who specializes in birds...in a town that I discovered after the fact was 2 hours away. The prospect of driving 4 hours in one day with 2 kids was not appealing.
So I will feed this guy until I can find a rehabber (is that even a word?) closer to us or someone is willing to drive out to the middle of nowhere to come get him.
Now all I have to do is tell my everlovin' husband when he comes home from work that there is a baby blue jay in our bath tub.

How cute!
Darling! They are so fragile, you should find someone who works especially with birds. Maybe they could meet you half way. Sweet lil' birdie!
We just saved a wild fledgling 2 weeks ago - didn't have to drive 2 hours 'though. Let us know how he does.
You have experience rehabbing birds! It's in your nature. You were doing it at five, six, ten, twelve.... I don't think there is an animal you didn't rescue!!
Do you remember the time we took the eggs out of the fridge, put them in sock, & hoped to hatch chickens? Lol
Ah so cute! How is the bird doing now?
