Moving Right Along

Through the magic of the Internet & generous parents who have been there, Little has gotten some equipment! We have been able to purchase a pony gait trainer at a price I could not say no to- even if it did not work out for him! He is still short for it, by maybe 2 inches even though I have adjusted it as small as it would go, so I had to look around for some modifications so he could use it.

Moon Shoes! I pulled out my yoga bricks & traced his shoe over one of them and cut it away so it fit:) It took 1 brick to do both shoes. The material that the bricks are made out of is perfect- firm foam & the fact that its purple is not too bad either. I first tried velcro-ing the shoes to the foam but it wouldn't stick so in the end duct taping the shoe to the foam worked best.

Now, he fits in it a bit better, a little puzzled, but not upset. because we have carpet in the house the pony works best on our porch. He has not taken any steps on his own but I work him in by moving his legs/feet for him. I want him to associate this piece of equipment with moving. Wish us luck!

I love how Capt. Chaos needs to "test drive" everything we bring home for his brother :)
