Feeling Better....

Actually a whole lot better! Mostly due to the fact that Little Man & I went to our very first play date! This was no ordinary play date. Each of the kids we met had similar abilities as Little Man. We met Caleigh, Wade, Kendall, Milo, & Scotty. I did not take one picture while we were there, but just picture 6 adorable kids rollings around on the floor in your mind. Seriously, it was cuteness overload! We did a toy & book exchange which was awesome! It was so nice to be able to talk to other parents who kinda walk the same path. So refreshing & I had a great feeling when we left. A huge shout out to Holly for organizing it all!!!

I also went to a Parent Lunch & Learn Talk at a church in Rockwall. The talk was given by a SN mom who has been in the "system" for 14 years. She talked about what the programs were that could help disabled people  and their families at different stages of their lives. Very informative & no I have a starting point.

I keep looking at the whole wheelchair thing as a blessing in disguise. I wrote before that I really had wanted a KidsUp or a Kimba, but in the end tried for a QuickieZippie. Now, I;m leaning towards something different. I guess that while I'm still researching what would work best for Little Man, I'll have to really look over Aetna's specs for DME. Next time, Little Man will not be denied!

I cannot understand how insurance companies decide to approve or deny DME. How can your little guy not be appproved for a wheelchair? How can my daughter not be approved for a Sleep Safe Bed? boo. :(

The playdate sounds like so much fun! I wish we could come play.
