Yesterday, I got a call to let me know that Little Man was "disabled enough" to qualify for our states MDCP (medically dependant children's program). Now all we have to do is wait for that darn Medicaid app to be a approved & spend a few hours in a nursing home & we will be card carrying members!
Never thought I would be happy to hear that he was disabled enough. I was sweating it because the nurse who came to evaluate him didn't sound very hopeful about his chances of getting in. He had no siezure history, tubes of any kind or problems really. He just needs constant care of the non-medical variety. Because the nurse was'nt very hopeful, neither was I. But I'm glad now! I'm familiar with the nursing home we plan on using as well. Our church has many members there & the children visit every Christmas season. Its a good place.
On a very happy note, I replaced my missing card in my cell phone & can now post pics again! Its been awhile. Y'all have to see Capt. Chaos in his Billy the Exterminator costume:)

Count your lucky stars. We have a way worse history and Louisiana's waiting list is a couple of years long. Bah.
